LAYER 1 DESIGN GALLERY
Layer 1 Design Gallery is a self-initiated brand I developed over the summer as a platform to showcase design exploration and creative experimentation. The goal was to establish a cohesive brand identity that feels contemporary, versatile, and reflective of my personal design process.
RESEARCH
To refine the direction of the brand design, reference images were collected to capture the suggested visual style and atmosphere.
SKETCHES
Sketches were created after researching different gallery and museum logos, then translated into Adobe Illustrator for further refinement.
The name Layer 1 Design Gallery was selected for its relevance to graphic design, referencing the first layer in a composition and symbolizing a strong foundation for creative exploration.

Ultimately, a more elegant direction aligned best with the brand. The addition of a curve above the text reinforced its connection to graphic design, creating a solution that balances sophistication with visual relevance.
